invented and patented the first motorcycle U Lock in Germany in
1968. As more Europeans began using motorcycles, the need
for dependable locks grew. Recognizing that need, ABUS
developed the 54 Granit U Lock. This product now features
a lock body and shackle constructed of core hardened 65 Rockwell
Boron steel alloy, and our exclusive Plus Keyway System.
The ABUS 54 Granit U Lock is the highest maximum security U
lock in the US market. Its core hardened body and shackle
provide maximum resistance to assault by FreonŽ spraying,
hammering and bolt cutting. For added strength, the
shackle is held in place by hardened steel bolts at both shackle
entry points. Lesser qulaity U locks merely rely on case
hardening and a single shackle locking bolt.
Our patented Plus Keyway System offers added security,
protecting against FreonŽ sprating, drilling, picking and
cylinder pulling. Six floating discs provide 30,000
factory registered key options, and its keys can't be easily
duplicated. The keyway is shielded from dust and dirt.
The Granit U Lock's durable black vinyl coating prevents damage
to chrome and painted surfaces.
Surpassing the ASTM, ANSI, and SSF3 highest security rating
classifications, this lock is also your best choice for ATV's,
recreational vehicles and other equipment requiring a U lock
configuration.
The 54
Granit U Lock has ABUS' lifetime warranty against manufacturing
defects. No lock is invulnerable, but we believe the ABUS
